Johannesburg Housing Authority Rezoning Proposal at Soweto.

The Housing Development Agency (HDA) is planning to rebuild new, low income housing units on the large parcel of land SOWETO. Proposed rezoning by the HDA would allow 4 story units and reduced parking requirements that would allow over 400 units to be build compared to the 200 that were previously on the land. While there is a good chance the HDA will still build on this property, you can help deny their rezoning request to possibly reduce the density of units on the property and help ensure the best for the surrounding neighborhood, community and even the future residents at this property.
